“Suspiria” is the fucked-up sequel to “Ocean’s 8″! Suspiria (1977) [Curses, Witches] Movie Review. A fter the mostly international success of Deep Red, Dario Argento grew tired of making giallos. There’s something so exciting about a movie that doesn’t have explicitly feminist themes, but shows women being powerful, gnarly and evil. Within the first few minutes of the film, it is not merely enough for Argento to kill a girl – instead she has her head smashed through a window, then have her stabbed to death, a noose slung around her neck before she is finally thrown through a stained glass window to be left hanging on the end of the rope. The themes will seem a bit silly, the acting down right hammy, and everything else about the set, FX, and atmosphere, almost quaint. Forbes takes privacy seriously and is committed to transparency. Suspiria is a film that is almost operatic in its excesses.
