The newly revamped 2019 Surfer Awards are just a few weeks away and we’ve begun announcing the nominees for each category.

But between those two out-of-this-world barrels are loads of memorable moments–like the Jack Freestone threading a never-ending Snapper tube during Cycle Oma, Shane … Vissla’s 2019 release, "Rolling Review" is jam-packed full of stylish surfing. See the latest Videos on SURFER Magazine.

This year’s show will continue to celebrate many of the categories you’ve seen in the past, but with the addition of a few new ones, including Best Style, Best Surfer, Battle of the Vlogs and more (click here to find out more about what to expect at this year). You’ll notice that the year was bookended by memorable performances in the tube, from Keito Matsuoka’s award-winning Pipe bomb back in January to Russell Bierke’s hulking Pe’ahi pit from the 2019 Jaws Challenge. The Vissla team is full of unique characters that surf all over the spectrum, and rip on basically every craft made from fiberglass and foam.

It makes sense Vissla would create a film that shows off how diverse, and talented, their squad actually is.
